The other day I found a nice ivory horse head chip for sale--one of a set that I found years ago. The seller, however, stated that it was "bone ivory." I sent him a post saying it was elephant ivory and not bone ivory. He responded saying he knew the difference but could not list it as ivory (other than to call it bone ivory) because eBay would not permit ivory listings. I know that eBay had a policy against offering ivory items for sale but thought it had been lifted or changed. I have no trouble putting "ivory" into the eBay Chips search and finding chips, most of whom are simply labeled "ivory." Is there an eBay rule prohibiting the listing of chips (or other things) as ivory?
