Bigger is less than smaller

I needed some more padded envelopes for USPS mailing of chips and surprisingly found that size 0 is generally cheaper than size 000 (the smallest made, and the one I used to use). For reference, a size 0 will contain a 6" x 9" item. The envelope itself weighs only about 1/2 ounce, so postage is essentially the same for mailing a few chips in either the 000 or the 0 size ($1.69 for 3 Ounce 1st class pkg. on PayPal).

In addition, the size zero envelope will take a label printed from PayPal without having to cut it down with scissors. I print on Avery sticky-back stock that has two labels per sheet.

If you need some envelopes, check out Amazon on-line. Here's what I bought:

250 ea. Hefty Express Air-Kraft Bubble Shipping Mailers Size #0
$31.75
Sold by TheBoxery
Condition: New

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Item Subtotal: $31.75
Shipping and Handling: $0.00

Total Before Tax: $31.75

That's only about 13c each, and there's free delivery for the 250 quantity!

I was going to offer some of them to others on the board who don't need as many as that, but the cost of mailing them to you makes it not economically practical.
