A New York Supreme Court [lowest court of record--not highest] has just entered an order finding that the two compacts that the Governor entered into with the Oneidas and the St. Regis (I think that is the tribe that has the Akwesasne casino in Hogansburg] are illegal because they did not receive legislative approval. The state is appealing and will get a stay order to keep the casinos open. I hope so since I wanted to play small stakes at Oneida this weekend.
