As a seller I do not list with "Make An Offer" on ebay but I still get e-mails with offers. Usually at 50-75% below my minimum bid. Like Doug, I also think that my starting bids are not inflated and are reasonable. I usually reply with something like "Thanks for your interest but I will pass on your offer." I even had one buyer then reply back to me "What an idiot." In the past, occasionally I have offered chips on this board and said "No reasonable offer refused." I would only receive low ball offers. I have not offered chips recently in this manner. My feeling is that when a seller asks for offers some take this to mean the seller is desperate and will take any offer. Just a thought.
