(1) 11/4/1995 Tyson vs. Buster Mathis Jr. mailer. This was to be Tyson's 2nd fight after getting out of prison, after his 89 second victory of Peter McNeeley. However, the date picked was also the same date scheduled for the rubber match between Bowe & Holyfield. Holyfield was to be on HBO PPV and Tyson on Showtime. There was a stand-off as to which promoter would change the date, but no one wanted to budge. Tyson's promoter at the time, Don King went so far as to say that he would air the fight for free on Fox TV. No budge for the Holyfield camp. Then as "bad luck" would have it ( ) Tyson broke his thumb three days before the fight, and it was rescheduled for December 16 at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. King wanted the fight in Atlantic City, but his (not Tyson's this time) legal troubles there at the time prohibited that.
As to value, hard to say. It's nice in that it's from a fight that never happened and it is Tyson related. However, it is not an item easily framed/displayed. I have a bunch of similar mailers in a binder, so I would offer around $5 for it. There are a lot of Tyson collectors out there, so you may want to put on . You never know if some collector needs that one bad.
(2) 11/9/1996 Tyson vs. Holyfield poster. I remember seeing that poster somewhere, but could not remember. I did a check on a website of a highly respected boxing collector, and his description is: "Mike Tyson vs. Evander Holyfield Super Scarce Poster. This Poster was only available to MGM's VIP's and distributed during a "High Rollers" Party. Very scarce 22 x 28 inch poster." He is asking $450 for it. I checked on items and saw one sold for $30 back in October. I wouldn't let yours go too cheaply. (Email me if you want me to send you a link to the seller I mentioned.)
(3) 10/30/82 O'Grady vs. Ranzany poster. O'Grady lost via a UD in 10. Rocky fans might be the best audience to sell it. Maybe an O'Grady fan (although he lost the fight). I think the Rocky connection is the way to sell it. Poster says "Tiger Eye Ltd." which was a boxing promotional firm Stallone has or had. He had boxer Aaron Pryor under contract back at one time.
