Golden Goose had $20 "coin rolls" (makes a wooden sounding "thunk" on my kitchen floor) that seem to be some kind of promotional item. Don't know the value, and don't know how they were used. Don't even know if they were in plastic at the time they were used, or if ours was sealed in plastic to preserve it...

The item you found sounds like the pieces at each end of the roll.
