Hi,
First off I just want to say that I don't blame anyone but myself. I bought some chips that I thought were real, but turns out they are apparently not. I bought them off of EBAY and I didn't read the description good enough until after I bought them(Not very bright). I bought them from a reputable seller and they weren't cheap(relatively). I paid a total of $43 for 5 CIC chips. They were:
$100 Park Tahoe
$500 Park Tahoe
$100 Silver Bird
$500 Silver Bird
$1000 Silver Bird
After buying them I noticed at the bottom of the description that it said:
"This chip appears to have been manufactured after the close of the casino by the original manufacturer Bud Jones Company for one of the casino executives, Carl Osborne."
So my first thought was I just paid $43 for about $10 worth of chips. I really don't collect fantasy chips or chips that were not actual casino chips. Does anyone have any additional info on these that may have a bright spot for me. Or does anyone know how many exist or any little factoid that may be helpful. Just trying to ease my mind for being so stupid.
Thanks,
Don
