Casino MonteLago at Lake Las Vegas has closed its doors.

The announcement was made Tuesday. According to a press release, operations have been suspended pending resolution of lease issues with the property owners.

The property was purchased by Newage Lake Las Vegas from Village Hospitality in November 2012.

The hotel was renamed Hilton Lake Las Vegas and the casino was operated under the assumption of the lease made by the previous owner.

Only the casino operations are suspended, not the hotel itself.

This is the second time the property has been closed. The first closure, which happened in 2010, lasted nearly a year and a half. The property reopened from the previous closure on May 26, 2011.
