Ive seen the shuffling machines they use at the expo.
They hold two sets of cards. They are being shuffled in for the next time round, after the current deck(s) are exhausted. A light shows on the shuffler when insufficient cards remain for the next hand and the dealer pushes a button to switch between. Pretty easy to follow as the two sets will be different colors.
