In my post on this message board last night, I asked if there was gambling at 21 West Elizabeth, Detroit, a Purple Gang place. (Link to that post:

I asked because the well-known crest and seal chips (see pictured below) from the place were odd for gambling chips. (I'd still like to know how they were used in gambling.) And a number of references intimated that the place was just a pick-up/meeting place to transport gamblers to the famous Chesterfield Club in the Detroit suburbs.

Anyway, Dean Sanders closed the case by sending me all these news stories about big-time gambling at 21 West Elizabeth. Thanks.
