God Bless you both. I also opted for the bilateral mastectomy and the anniversary was indeed a very tough day. And I so understand the medical bills issue. Last year, my out of pocket was 2/3 of my income. Things are finally getting better for me and I hope they are for her too. But there are still tough days. Last week I went to the grocery store and they asked if I wanted to donate a dollar to breast cancer research. Of course, I said yes and I was fine until the cashier asked me to fill out a paper to hang on the wall and asked if I knew anyone that had breast cancer. I told her that I was a survivor, walked out into the parking lot and cried.

Please tell her that if she ever needs an ear, or just to vent to someone that has been there, to please reach out. Sending my prayers and good wishes. Judy
