Moulin Rouge.

Several years ago we stopped at the Moulin Rouge. Long after the casino was closed, of course, and I'm not sure if they were renting the rooms out or not. The parking lot was gated, but the gate was open. We wandered around the property a little...smushed our faces against the glass trying to see into what seemed to be a restaurant; hoping, of course, that we'd see signs of the casino (but I don't think we did). The approach to the pool was between the two buildings in the picture.

I don't think we saw any signs of the murals that were on the casino walls in 1955. Now, of course, I wish I'd taken about a thousand pictures, but I wasn't that smart back then....

We drove past the site last year, this was all that we saw...recognize the sign?
