Hi Alan,
I don't have any pending deals with you, but notice on your posts that you don't take Paypal. Paypal is a great way to recieve your cash instantly. There is no waiting for people to:
1. Write a check
2. Find an envelope
3. Buy a stamp, because you just ran out
4. Find a post Office Box and hope that they don't forget pickup
5. Wait until Monday to Mail, because you did a deal on Saturday
Then you have to wait for days and hope that the Post Office doesn't lose your mail. I mailed a payment(check) to Dennis Berry in California from my home state of Michigan last month and he recieved it 19 days after postmark.
Paypal charges a small fee to the reciever of the money, but it is nominal. When you advertise the price for your chips - as an example just ask for $20 shipped or $21 if paying by Paypal. Then you don't feel the bite and you get your money right away. Then you're not always playing the waiting game and people who are waiting for their chips get them faster. It is a win/win for all involved.
- You won't have to go to the bank to cash any checks.
- Money in your Paypal account can be transfered electronically to your bank account without you even having to leave the house. It does take a few days for the money to transfer however.
Then you can say to people that you want payment within 3 days or you're going to re-list instead of waiting for 2 weeks to see if you have been stiffed.
Not trying to be a "busybody" or anything - just trying to make a suggestion. As long as you are on the computer anyway checking the Chipboard or making deals - a few more clicks for the person on the other end and you have just been paid while you are still sitting there sometimes.
I do not work for Paypal! Just find it an easy way to do business!
Peace,
Don
