if the P.O. deficit has anything to do with the fact that unsolicited non-first class mail costs so little. Law week I received 48 pieces of mail (one day so many the carrier couldn't jam them in my box and so put rubber bands around them and left them at the door)--all but four were unsolicited junk at about 11 cents each. As more and more faxes and e-mails replace 1st class postage I wonder how the P.O. can continue. Maybe tax faxes and e-mails?
