The owner, you mean Aspinall or his son? Or our current owner, or maybe the previous owner?
The 17 sets must have been done previously although I would have expected them to have been a different set as the ones I have were taken out in 2007 (ish) when the new owners took over but it is possible.
Gorgeous plaques indeed but.......The first Clermont plaques were indeed Ivory and Tortoiseshell, well the ones I see every weekend are anyway. And they have the CC logo not Aspinalls. The ones pictured could well be the high denomination ones so, thanks for sharing. I'm a little surprised he had Aspinalls on them as opposed to CC but still, gorgeous anyway.
O'm surprised you weren't able to have a sniff around whilst down there but.....lucky you, bet it was fun.
