I was guided a bit by an elder collector when I start getting serious about 8 years ago. I was collecting everything which was both costly and difficult. What he said was quite simply " Reggie just collect what pleases your eye or what makes you the most happiest" Well, being poker player all my life; I settled on all chips with playing card images on them, in any format. Front or backs of playing cards. Along with that I decided to try to keep up with all new issues with the highest denom being a $5 chip...I do have some areas I hedge a bit, I do not collect anything over a $1 from Las Vegas, and my favorite areas are Montana and Reno...hopefully this rambling non explanation helps you a bit, that would be great....sincerely Reggie
