The Hotel Hamaca, in Boca Chica, Dominican Republic, was the first and still the only casino in the island that produced 5 different chips of RD25 denominations at the same time, also made four of $100, in order to sell them to collectors. The idea was nice, but reality took a toll. There are only 2-3 chip collectors of chips in the Island, and the hotel was not in an area for foreign tourism, but rather for local tourism.

In any case, only months after this event, the casino changed hands and all these chips were burned. And here are two extra sets that I was able to obtained just before they closed. A true collector's item and an experiment which will probably remain unique based on the results. And, they are beautiful !!
