What does your profile have to do with it?
Your profile is purely what people see when they click on your username.

Are you sure you are not talking about your preferences?
You just click 'My Preferences' at the top, edit the data and save it.
Close the browser and re-open.

If, however, you make any change whatsoever to name, email or password, you will get locked out once again
