I would've contacted security. That has happened to me once. Walked up to a machine that somebody had left $138 on it. I called over security and asked for an opinion on how to handle the situation. I was told by security he considered it finders-keepers, losers-weepers, so I cashed it out with the blessing of security.
But it the situation different if I'm cashing out SIX tickets worth a grand total of 38 cents? I guess technically it is stealing, but did they need to chase me all around the security and call me out in front of my car with about 20 people at the front door and put on this big show of force? All for 38 cents?! To me, that's done by a business that believes they are the only game in town and can do anything it wants to because you have no choice but to return to their establishment if you want to gamble.
That said, I still want to know what others have to say or think. Right now, I still feel I am too close to what happened and I'm still more than a little steamed that they would treat a customer that way. I just want to hear as many opinions as possible to see if I am justified in my anger or I'm completely in the wrong.
