Look for the rusty staple on these old matches. After 40 years, the oxygen in the striker should have made iron oxide out of the steel staple. On some, you can also see extra holes where the new staple didn't match the exact placement of the original.

Some sellers think no one will notice and will pay more for one with matches, especially feature matches.
