Was collecting stamps when I was growing up to college. I give my collection to my grand daughter who is 10 years old now - several albums. the purpose is to encourage her to look up each country - read the "Country Data" and everything else she could find then we discuss them - quite effective in teaching geography, people, economy, political and etc. in each country. I have 3 globes two are lighted.

She is with me - she is going 6th grade this school year. She is straight A - and in math its like her second nature. I bought two Dachshunds - the short haired and miniature as a gift (rewards). She is vacationing now in Shanghai for the summer to learn the Mandarin. She speaks it including Spanish and our 3 local dialect in the Philippines.

I still collecting stamps in 2.5 from any country besides the snappers shown in my website.

Do you know that I "buy" for $.50 new words that she can find and define to me. Two years ago we invested in stocks her savings and of course I give her pointers on how the stocks - including the DOW works.
