You dont need to enter any name or anything to upload a picture, and the only way your computer could have remembered your data for the old uploader is if it had some autocomplete setting.
If anything has changed, it has to be at your end.
You should be uploading by using the browse button just above the message typing box, NOT the File Upload link at the top.
