then your first question...
I am certain that your first question did NOT step on anyone's toes.
I suspect that the lack of an immediate response is for many reasons, not the least of which is that your post is far less than 24-hours old and many readers don't look at every post, nor do they read every day. Adding to this, your question had the implication of being directed at ChipGuide Admins and moreover the "Nevada" Admin(s).
Beyond that, your question is hard to answer, with just the information you provided, i.e., a single scan of a chip known to have variations.
Since all scanners and scanner settings are different, as well as the capabilities and settings of the graphics rendering program, not to mention the characteristics of the monitors being used to view your scan, it would be very helpful to have provided a side-by-side scan of the 2 different chips. If 3 or more different, then include all of them. However, in doing so, it is best to do single scan of all the different chips, rather than individual chip scans.
I was playing poker last night and fencing with a Troll, and didn't have the time then to engage in a post that required explanation and a request for more info.
But, if you'll kindly produce a scan of the variations you have (just the BCC, Sun Mold chips) then we can take a stab at an answer.
Thanks and did you play last night? I can't recall.
