Now that's a tough one!

We haven't found much out there from the Westside...when I did the magazine article awhile back, I had to beg, borrow, and steal scans of stuff to illustrate it.

If you enjoy the Westside history, you need to read "Beyond the Glimmering Lights", which is often available on ebay. It's by Trish Geran, whose Aunt Mac left Mississippi in 1943, bound for the bright lights of Las Vegas...where she'd heard that black people could find work that wasn't picking cotton.

There's lots of good stories in the book, and quite a few photos. Unfortunately, the quality of many of the photos is pretty poor...still worth reading.
