No, we didn't stay at the Mizpah. In fact, we really only stopped in Tonapah to fill up with gas and buy a soda.

We bought the 1948 magazine in Reno, and I told my husband that I wanted to do a "then & now" picture. Of course, then I buried the magazine in the luggage . So while he pumped the gas, I ran back to what I thought was the vantage point that the 1948 picture was taken from, and I took 3-4 shots from slightly different angles. The one I posted was pretty close to where I wanted to be!
