Around 1990, or so, was the Grand Opening weekend of the Excalibur. Driving from San Diego to Las Vegas I blew a head gasket and had to get towed from Baker. Luckily the car was still under warranty..I just had to pay about $200 for the long tow.
Got it serviced at Fletcher Jones..nowhere to go, went next door to AZ Charlies..went on a blackjack heater, that was one for the ages..I must have won something like 45 of 50 hands..left the casino with more money then I ever had in my pocket. (I was 21 at the time)
Car took a week to fix so had to fly home, fly back in a week and drive back. That blackjack run paid for my plane tickets, tow, and had about $500 left over..I haven't been back there since..lol
