My husband and I started our casino collecting with ashtrays. Then we added a few chips. Then we added a few postcards...and matches...and swizzle sticks...and china...and glassware...and paper stuff...and table felts...and dice...and dealer aprons...and wooden hangers...and Nevada phone books...and decanters...and banks...and key chains...and nearly anything from Nevada casinos of the old millennium (except card keys, tokens, and LE chips, but we have some of that stuff too).
Soooo...it was a slippery slope for us, and several other collectors who frequent the chipboard. Could we get collectors of matches and postcards to fall down the slippery slope of collecting casino memorabilia? I don't think there's a casino dealer apron collecting club...but there's matchbook collecting clubs, and I think there's postcard collecting clubs, and maybe swizzle stick collecting clubs...might they have periodicals where we could advertise? Maybe some kind of reciprocal agreement...we advertise in their mag, in exchange for an ad in our mag...???? Just a thought...
