Casual interest does make our hobby grow. Collecting commitment is at every level from seriously dedicated to the window shopper. Our club and convention demonstrates the commitment by many of the seriously dedicated. The club and hobby benefit from nonmembers and people with casual interest. Not everyone has the collecting fever or plan on being a dedicated club member, but with collecting interest they do make the hobby spin. A forest grows from thousands of tiny seeds. Not every seed in the forest grows to be the tallest but they all contribute to the forest.

With the new amendment change to our club Constitution you can now spread the joy and make any relative an associate member. I am planting the seeds throughout my family. Everyone in the picture below is a club or associate member, Cathy my two sons with their wives and our three grandchildren. I did not force them to be members, I asked everyone if they would like to be an associate member in a club that their husband, father and grandfather was proud to belong. It is my part to keep interest at every age level. Little seeds can grow into giant redwoods.

You too can plant the seed in any of your relatives for only five dollars a year. It's just a fun thing to do, many people do enjoy being part of a group or club, and their casual interest will help the hobby grow. Just think you might be the one to plant the seed for a giant chip collector. I've been collecting gambling chips for over 35 years and have enjoyed every minute.
