Token stuff I learned at the Convention

True to its name, Karl's Silver Club in Sparks issued one dollar tokens in silver for six years in the 1980's. They have full reeded edges and are not marked silver.

According to Janice's handwritten notes, a silver token was issued in 1982 with the same design as the casino run token, and repeated for the next 5 years (same design, new date). The tokens were never released to the tables.

I was able to get the set shown from a dealer in the bourse, so evidently a few did get out; they don't show evidence of circulation, though.

These six silver tokens are not shown in The Chip Guide, but my scans can be used there if anyone wants to extract them.
