TITO stands for "Ticket In Ticket Out" the technology that replaced coin in
slot machines introduced in 2000 or so and now used in most slot machines.
Paper money goes in, winnings if any come out as a ticket which carries
a bar code that conveys the money value, the ticket can be put into another
slot machine to continue play or cashed at a redemption machine or the cash cage.
I started the collectors catalog of TITOs in 2004 and over the last several years
have moved the data on about 3000 or so TITOs to The Chip Guide. TITOs
are cataloged by their press printed back design, their front slot machine printed data
has the bar code and value information.
