there. They were set up for the dealers that set up and were not meant for the entire convention attendance.
Unfortunately those cans cost the club $3-$4 each after taxes, fees and service charges.
As far as the water, I agree it got warm fast and maybe we could have them change it out more often in the future.
As I told Andy, I will dig up the old information when I can but I would not infer that anything is being kept a secret.
There are TONS of things that are paid for that are not announced publicly. The price we pay for most things at the convention is not posted publicly and shouldn't be.
I will find out what I can when I get home but the idea has been discussed in the past several times and has been voted against because of the costs.
In addition I have heard from numerous people that they don't like the idea of a bar on the convention floor and even several dealers who told me they wouldn't even set up at a show if we had one.
So do we spend a whole lot of money on a bar which we will never recover and alienate people as well?
OR........ Those that want a drink can walk down the escalator and 20 yards to the closest bar with absolutely no costs to the club?
Just something to consider.
