Andy,
Dead On! I agree with you whole heartedly! The needs to consider everyone who attends these conventions; not just members, but also non-members; not just the attendees, but also the dealers as well. It's not like there isn't enough room in which to set up a bar inside the convention area... Let's face it, if they can have the bathrooms that close, they can set up a bar even closer (wouldn't hurt to have a snack bar closer too).
As a member and a convention attendee (although I couldn't make it this year), if you don't have conventions/parties/events/get togethers with certain "conveniences" and "amenities", people will not return (maybe not even attend in the first place due to hearing complaints through the grapevine). For large events to be successful, one must cater to the masses. Let's face it, as you already pointed out, casinos are very large and people don't want to walk great distances over and over and over to get what they want/need. It takes too much time and energy. This really hurts the dealers because they can't just drop what they are doing to get a drink or a bite to eat. They have to wait for some help, of legal age, to go and get them something.
I am curious to hear the boards response to this issue...
Regards,
Thomas (R-7788)
