Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm afraid I was spoiled on XP...all I had to do was right-click on the picture; scroll down a few lines to the picture resizer; click the size I wanted; click o.k...and it was done! I found something similar online, for Windows 8, but it isn't a Microsoft download...so I'm not sure I want to try it.

I'll keep the Paint solution in mind
