I overestimated the weight. I was figuring that it was closer to one ounce instead of one half ounce. I was hoping to get $800 on gold so my $100 offer was reasonable. Also remember that I said she indicated that she did not want to sell it. I figured a good offer to start would be the best way to go since a lowball offer would have her saying not thanks real quick. And it worked.
