So, what are these "chips"?

Item 1:

This appears to be a grey, molded chip with an engraved image of a peacock. It's uniface, and has three colors of fill. I know there are some Phillipine casino chips but I haven't seen one with this kind of bird on it. I seem to recall I got this from WalterD, so it could have come from anywhere in the world.

Item 2:

An oversize chip that appears to be a ceramic inlay surrounded by molded yellow plastic. It's too heavy to be solid plastic. The word "Excellent", two stars, and oriental characters on each side. The revese looks to show a building facade with a blank rectangle below it (maybe for custom marking?). The words that seem to be associated with it are Excellent, Sands, Emeryville, star, and tournament. Maybe also online and poker. I can't get anything further using Google. I can't read the pictograms but the first two are pretty similar and maybe identical. I think this came from SteveP, but he didn't have detailed identification of it.

The rim marking is raised on both sides; one looks like it's depressed, but that's because the second side was scanned inverted, then rotated. I have a second one of these that has gold on the raised surfaces; no evidence of the gold on the one I scanned.

Any ideas on either of these?
