Dear mrnjchips,
Using high quality photos has shown to improve the chance of a sale by 5%*. That's why back in 2012 we asked all sellers to meet a few basic photo quality requirements that will be enforced beginning July 1, 2013. That day is approaching and we wanted you to know which of your listings need to be updated so they won't be blocked from relisting or removed. Please see the list further down in this email.
As a reminder, these are the photo quality requirements:
- Every listing needs to have at least one photo.
- Photos must be at least 500 pixels on the longest side.
- The primary photo for items in used condition can't be a stock photo.
- Photos can't have added borders, text, or artwork.
- Watermarks are allowed for ownership and attribution, but not marketing.
We appreciate everything you've done already to make sure your photos meet these requirements and help make eBay a great place to shop. To get more great help on our policies and tips for photos that help your items sell, please visit the following pages:

As always, thanks for selling on eBay.

Thanks,

*A random sampling of 6.8 million listings on eBay over the period of July 1 to July 31, 2012 indicated that those with better quality photos were, on average, 4.5% more likely to sell. "Better quality" photos are those that are greater than 500 pixels on the longest side, do not have added text or graphics and are uploaded via the eBay picture service. Individual results may vary.
