Hi Duke,
First, Rene doesn't make his living selling chips, it's a supplemental income deal with him.
Second, you can't really make valid comparisons between dealing in everyday products or services, and limited edition collectibles. A dealer (businessman) can make more products or hire more people to provide services if needed. You can't do that with limited edition collectibles. What you can do with limited edition collectibles, when the source allows it, is buy all or most of them. Doing so SHOULD be brought to the attention of other collectors of the same items to inform other collectors of an attempt by one person to artificially manipulate the market price for the item. This isn't the first time Rene has done this in my opinion. He's not the only one who has done this, but he appears to be the only one who hasn't learned that doing so will lose customers, give him a bad name in the collecting community, and have others that might want to deal with him concerning other items begin to question his ethics in general.
