We will NEVER EVER become a big club or need to worry about having to increase our margins or any other corporate issues. Let's face it, we are for the most part a small fraternity of people who enjoy collecting little pieces of clay or metal and associated trinkets. There truly is not a big demand for our hobby as it is so specialized. Since I have become a member, I have observed an large number of people volunteering countless hours putting out a really good magazine and great convention every year that is enjoyed by many. We are non-profit and yes we spend a lot to put out a magazine but I can guarantee that is it is eagerly awaited by most members. As members, we pay a very little price for the perks of our fraternity and we receive a very high return for what we contribute. I cannot thank enough everyone who has donated time and effort to make our club what it is. If you are trying to justify eliminating the magazine after all these years, I suggest you find seek another hobby that is more corporate run. I enjoy our club for what it is worth and everyone starting with Archie and going forward has made it fun and worthwhile.
And let's think about this: Why are we sweating the club magazine that truly costs us very little but have no problem spending large $$$$$ when Tyrus "Straight to a Thousand!" spins his web?????
Please thank everyone who has donated time and effort to our magazine, club and convention. Please find another hobby if you think we are wasting our money.
