board and it appears that this thread went a direction I don't think anyone intended it to.
I appreciate your opinion and I will be happy to add it to the agenda to discuss again.
I can say that for each person who feels like you, I get twice as many emails that ask me to not make any changes to the magazine.
I can see the points from both sides as the magazine is a huge selling point for our club and many members in the past have signed up because of the quality of it. Our magazine consistently wins awards and is obviously the highlight of being a member in the as that's the only way you can get it.
With that being said, I do see your point just as I see points that everyone else has made.
Both David and Steve are correct in the fact that this has been discussed many times and the costs have been looked at closely.
The numbers I quoted do also include postage which is a significant amount and I did neglect to decrease for advertising income (Although that funding has been much slimmer that we would like).
If there was some way to increase advertising in the magazine we would be in a much better place.
I can assure you that the BOD consistently looks into potential cost savings while still providing the most we can for our members.
I cant promise we will make any changes, but I can promise we will discuss the issue once again.
