I just want to point out that the weekend of the convention is also the "Electric Daisy Carnival" and thus room rates are 4-5 times what they are normally. Not sure who booked their event first but it might be a consideration in the future to avoid such dates when these shows are going on.
The weekend before and after are normal rates throughout vegas.
I stay at the Riviera when in Vegas and have been for 20 plus years and typically it's $59 but the convention weekend it's $210 a night.
I don't know how many others it is effecting, but it's making it a difficult decision whether or not to attend.
