I just got done reading the post Shelton & Christine Smith posted about the coupons that will be in our packets for those of us who have/will pre-register for the convention.

Every year, when I open my packet, it's like Christmas Eve when Mom & Dad let you open one present!

The packet has chips that were specifically designed by a club member (I don't know who, so I don't want to use my out loud keyboard with who I think it is only to not have the right individual get their proper due). It has a lanyard with your name, your membership number, your city and if you due special recognition.

Every packet has to be sorted and packaged by hand so you get all the "presents" you have coming to you.

The packets also contain special coupons (or as Ron White likes to say, coopins!) that Sheldon Smith went out and got for ALL of us so we can have something extra in our packets. Coopins that not only had to be arranged with each participating casino, but had to then be created, printed, and made available to Brenda in time so they can be added to our packets.

There is also a MAGNIFICENT booklet that tells us where each dealer is, letters from our leaders to welcome us to this year's convention, a detailed schedule on seminars, trade sessions, poker tournaments, blackjack tournaments, where some groups are meeting, specifics on what each table is selling, and a ton of information that I can't even BEGIN to give it justice.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg of ALL the people who do things behind the scene to make sure that when each of us comes to the convention that we have the best time possible.

So to all the members and their loved ones who do all the things necessary for us to have the convention, past and present, please accept a very heart-felt thank you from a humble member who marks the coming week in June with a highlighter, counts down the days to it starting, and appreciates all the work you do make my convention experience priceless.
