I have said it before but I will repeat it again. While you can't determine where a chip is from strictly by the mold there are a lot of of places where you typically DON"T find a mold. I checked my collection of 120+ chips attributed to Illinois and did not find a single Small Crown mold chip. Of course that is not to say that this chip isn't from Illinois but before I buy any Small crown or "L" mold chips I like to see some proof that they are not from California.
