Peter; At least you are staying at the Trop. Too many club members insist on the club holding the annual conventions on the strip, but then the member sometimes books hotel rooms at an off-strip location because it's a few dollars cheaper. It's only after a club member comes to one or two conventions that they realize they didn't save much by not staying at the official convention hotel when they figure out all the convenience given up and wasted time and money travelling back and forth between where they are staying and where the convention hotel where most chippers are staying is located. There is nothing like going upstairs occassionally to freshen up or entertain friends or to retrieve something out of a suitcase or simply take a nap at the host hotel. Of course if one is on an RFB package at another property, that is another matter that deserves consideration.
