A few years ago any $5 chip was worth $8-10. Recently I have seen people offering these chips for half of face value. True, most of the very rare chips have held their value but most of the rest of the chips are way down. I many have rare riveboat $100 chips that I paid several hundred dollars each for that I probably could not get face value for today. But a serious collector collects what they like not what will make them money.
