Speaking of scans, the scan in this week's auction is identical to the chip shown in the previous auction. I don't mind one all-purpose scan when a new LE is involved, but I really think older chips should be individually scanned.
It IS a very nice chip, even if a handfull has been found. IMO, it would be pretty easy for a small quantity to be absorbed with some, but not a lot, of decrease in price.
The knowledge and speculation about an UNKNOWN quantity (at least 2) being found is probably more detrimental to future price levels than if the quantity was stated up front (assuming we're not talking about a box!). I do believe that a seller has the right to not answer how many he/she has (though potential buyers also have the right to draw whatever conclusions they want from the non-information). However, a seller never has the right to give inaccurate information (i.e. lie) about quantity.
