They are not in the Russian language?
According to my records they were printed by Thomas De la Rue and also De la Rue Gori (bank note printers) as a test note for the Russian government for a possible new bank note design just before the Russian collapse. It was never used on Russian currency, but was commissioned by the Russian government to honor the national hero of literature, Pushkin. The setting is Pushkin in St. Petersburge Russia. I would like to know, if not Russian, what language it is. It does not seem logical that another language would be used. Thanks, I always like to learn more about my notes!
