I find it interesting that the concluding sentence refers to hunters as "nimrods".
Of course, one definition for nimrod is a skilled hunter, named after Nimrod in the Bible (in Genesis, in the Tower of Babel era).

But these days, the more common usage is as a goofy of clownish person. Times & word meanings change.
