Here's my 2 cents: the pano shot is done by the camera and many new models feature it. Mine is a Sony cybershot DSC-W570 16.1 mp that takes a pano shot almost a full 180 degree along a scene- so long I had to really shrink it to get the whole width here, but I sure like taking the pano pics.
