Since the Las Vegas strip didn't become the Las Vegas strip until, lets say when the Hotel Thunderbird was opened,

Sooo...does this mean that you don't buy into the Billy Wilkerson calling Hwy 91 the Strip, after the Sunset Strip? Or does this mean that you don't think he was calling it the Strip when he was building the Flamingo...it was later?

As for Hotel ERV/ERV Hotel, Hotel Last Frontier/Last Frontier Hotel...I never thought about it. But now that I think about it, my first 2 thoughts are...it was Hotel Apache/Apache Hotel, too. And...I guess the people that named these places wanted potential guests to be able to go to "Hotel" in the phone book, and find them!
