WSOP stands for World Series of Poker.......The poker tournament held every year at Binion's Horseshoe here in Las Vegas since 1970. It is a series of tournaments held over a 4 week period. The final event is a $10,000 buy-in No-Limit event. Last year 1st place in that event paid $1,500,000.
